Some History:

Rose Auto Service has been in business since 1922, we are Four generations strong. My Grandfather, Joseph Rose who later became known as "Pop" by everyone first started working on cars in the early 1900's at the automobile club of Philadelphia. Pop was a special mechanic, he was blind.  He lost sight in his first eye at age 16 a while running in the woods.  He started working at the automobile club of Philadelphia in his late teen age years.  He lost sight in his other eye at the age of 22 while working on a car on Thanksgiving day in 1924.

Soon after he went into business for himself at "A" and the Boulevard where he worked for around 20 years with his sons, Norman, Brian and several other employees doing body and mechanical repairs.  Around 1955 "POP" and his youngest son "Brian" opened Rose Auto Service at the present location on 822 Bleigh Avenue. Pop retired when he was 84 and was featured on channel 10 news as the "84 year old blind mechanic".

Brian has been working on cars since he was child, he was an expert auto mechanic and his specialty was collision repair. Brian worked as a Mechanic in the army during the Korean War, and retired when he Was 76 he still visits and helps out the shop frequently.

I am Joe Rose the third Generation in the business and have been working here since I was eight years old.  My specialty is diagnostics and problem solving.  I also run the day to day operations and serve as the face of Rose Auto Service to our customers.  I enjoy interacting with our customers and helping to manage their vehicle concerns.
